Green Beans A La Sour Cream Recipe


2 packages (10 ozs each) French-cut green beans
1 can (4 ozs) mushroom pieces, drained (optional)
1/2 cup sliced green onions
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 cup buttered cracker or bread crumbs Paprika

Cook beans according to directions on package, until barely tender. Drain and place in bottom of 2-quart casserole.

Pan-fry mushrooms and onions in butter in a skillet for 1 minute. Add flour and salt; stir to blend. Add sour cream. Heat just until hot. Pour over beans. Top with crumbs. Sprinkle paprika over top. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) 20 minutes, or until bubbly. Serve hot. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
